Finance Audit

The finance-audit workspace is used when the school needs tighter review of historical financial activity or period-closure decisions.

Use finance audit to​

  • review prior finance decisions
  • confirm whether a period is ready to close
  • request follow-up when closed records need to be reopened
  • keep an accountable trail for school leadership

When to escalate​

  • A period was closed before all corrections were posted.
  • A receipt or reversal needs leadership awareness.
  • An approval-sensitive change affects prior records.

Good controls​

  • Record why a reopen or audit follow-up is needed.
  • Keep the accountant and school admin aligned before making high-impact corrections.
  • Use the regular transaction workflow for live collection work and finance audit for governed review.
